Hotel La Casa Medellin is located on a quiet side street in the most exclusive area of Poblado Medellin known as Loma de Los Balsos. The hotel is only a short walk to the Heart of Medellin's Financial District, the most exclusive shopping centers in Colombia, walking distance to "Carulla Poblado" which is the best 24 hour supermarket in Medellin and a short 5 minute taxi ride to the entertainment district known as Parque Lleras.

Los Balsos is divided into two parts know as the “inferior” and the “superior”. The hotel is located on the inferior which is closer to the main attractions. It is important to remember that it is on the "inferior" in case the taxi does not know the area. Once the taxi is on the Balsos street there are three street signs indicating where the hotel is located so it is very easy to find.

In the event the taxi driver does not know Medellin at all (which is not uncommon) simply ask the driver to drive to Centro Comercial Santafé. This shopping center is the largest in Medellin so all the drivers can find it quickly. The hotel is located on the same street, only 2 minutes up the hill from Centro Comercial Santafé. Los Balsos is a steep hill that only goes up and down. So in the event the driver is driving downwards after finding Centro Comercial Santafé then it will be obvious he is driving in the wrong direction. Once the driver turns around there are three street signs that indicate where the hotel is located. These signs read "Hotel La Casa Medellin 200 Meters", "Hotel La Casa Medellin 100 Meters" and then a final sign with an arrow pointing to the hotel.

Because the hotel is located in the best area of Medellin it is actually very easy to find. However, it is not uncommon for taxi drivers in Medellin to have absolutely no idea where even the most famous streets are located. For this reason we recommend having the hotel reserve a private taxi when arriving at the airport. The private taxi service we call has much nicer vehicles than the yellow airport taxis, cost exactly the same, and most importantly will not get lost.
